Do you have a place you file away your successes? I call it my success file. When you reach a goal or receive an accolade, file it away for a rainy day. Reading these affirmations in the future might be just what you need to work through a problem. When you find yourself stuck, pull out the file. This exercise of browsing through your successes and seeing the milestones you have completed can be very inspiring. It will confirm that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to doing. Being a leader doesn’t make you a “Superhero.” I would suggest not trying to act like one.  It is often thought that leaders are born and not made. The skill of leadership can be learned. With some effort this can be true for anyone to learn leadership skills. Employees are usually receptive to their leader’s efforts and thoughtful guidance just as leaders appreciate feedback from their associates. Since it is true that leaders aren’t Superheroes then it is also true that leadership isn’t about having power. Leaders must have more in their toolbox to lead with, not just power.
