Veterans aren’t ordinary. Their selfless service makes them exceptional. Many have paid the ultimate sacrifice for us. Today in the United States we celebrate Memorial Day. It is a day on which those who died in active military service are remembered. God has placed in you the ability to be outstanding. He has given you the choice and free will to make decisions. You can chose greatness, and I am not referring to the selfish sense of the word. You were created to be more than ordinary. You have to be inspired to inspire those you lead.   How do you inspire yourself?   You can’t inspire your team without effort. Actually, to inspire yourself you have to feed yourself with information that moves you forward. You have to read and listen to materials that are inspirational. Also, you must associate with like-minded leaders. Years ago people would listen to cassette tapes in the car as a method to learn or be inspired.   Now with podcasting there is an abundance of free stirring material at your fingertips. Being professional shows co-workers what you represent. It can be a window for others to see your character or values. It is how you hold yourself in tense times. The attention you pay to your dress. The tone and words you use when speaking to your associates can reveal you are professional or not. If you are unprofessional workplace it will not be forgotten.   Always strive to elevate your professionalism in all aspects of your life. This is especially true in the workplace.
